ABOUT US
CHAK-KUMAR ASSOCIATION FOR SOCIAL SERVICE (CASS) is a registered Non-Governmental Voluntary Organization along with an Association for village level youth clubs. The Association has been implementing various types of welfare activities to the betterment of the people of Paschim Medinipur District area since 1994. At the end of the year 2018-19 this Association completes its 25th year’s development activities. It had to experience lots of odds during the year but still the development programmers of the Association were in progress. A brief report of activities of our Association for the year on and from 1st April 2018 to 31st March 2019 is stated hereunder.

EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Association has been continuing one Pre-Primary Education Centre at Benia under Debra Development Block. This has aimed to universalize elementary education amongst backward community of the area with the help of Non-formal mode.
RURAL TRAINING CUM
CULTURAL CENTRE
Rural Training Cum Cultural Centre has been continuing at Chak-kumar. In this year Association conducted following trainings to achieve i) Self independence ii) Development of leadership iii) Capacity and personality development iv) Knowledge up gradation v) Economic up gradation etc.
TRAINING PROGRAMME
Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation had forwarded 50 trainees from leprosy colony of Bankura and Paschim Medinipur District area for entrepreneurship development training programme to establish their own enterprise.
OLD AGE HOME
In present situation older persons are neglected by their spouse. Society cannot deny the social problem of older persons. Older persons have lot of experience about social, familiar, care and protection and other things but nuclear/ self centric family could not recognized this experience. To save the older persons from familiar violence
GAMES AND SPORTS
West Bengal Sports Council, Kolkata has been sanctioned Grant In aid for the promotion of Games and Sports among the youths. In the event our Association conducted Sport competition, Sports Coaching and Prize distribution among the youth to fulfill the objects of the programme to Sports culture
